Emissions Monitoring Technician – Air & Emissions

About the role

We are looking for an Emissions Monitoring Technician to join SOCOTEC’s Environment & Safety – Air & Emissions division. Based near Naas, you will support industrial emissions testing for a wide range of clients, ensuring compliance with UK legislation and delivering accurate data.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver accurate emissions testing and reporting services to diverse clients.
• Work safely at all times, adhering to the company’s Integrated Management System.
• Support the Team Leader with maintenance, servicing, and UKAS‑traceable calibration of specialist emissions monitoring equipment in line with ISO 17025 standards.
• Assist with on‑site MCERTS and UKAS‑accredited emissions testing activities at industrial facilities and regulated sites.
• Conduct site‑specific risk assessments following training to ensure safe and compliant operations.
• Collaborate independently and with the team to meet performance targets and KPIs.

Required profile

• Proactive, reliable and flexible attitude.
• Strong interest in environmental monitoring and emissions testing.
• Confidence to support MCERTS and UKAS‑accredited activities on client sites.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills
