Engineering Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a high‑performing team that designs, develops and continuously improves heavy‑duty mobile machinery for demanding industrial applications. This senior leadership position blends deep technical expertise with strategic thinking and people management to deliver innovative, cost‑effective, high‑quality solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of engineers focused on heavy‑duty machinery design and enhancement.
• Oversee multiple concurrent engineering projects, ensuring on‑time, on‑scope delivery with the highest quality standards.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Sales, Service, Marketing and external stakeholders to embed customer requirements into product development.
• Drive the Voice of the Customer into design specifications and ongoing improvements.
• Manage engineering resources, budgets and project priorities.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety requirements and product development processes (including NPPD).
• Identify cost‑reduction opportunities, design improvements and field issue resolutions.
• Promote standardisation of components and sub‑assemblies across product lines.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, performance management and employee development.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and align engineering operations with health, safety and environmental policies.

Required profile

• Degree‑qualified in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Proven track record in the design, development and launch of heavy machinery or complex engineered products.
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing engineering teams.
• Strong background in project and supplier management.
• Experience working at a strategic level within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with CAD systems, TMS and structured product development processes such as NPPD.
