Engineering Manager - M&E Assets

About the role

The Engineering Manager – Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Assets will lead a multidisciplinary technical team responsible for the management, optimisation and strategic development of M&E assets at a major industrial site in Dublin. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures assets are safe, reliable and aligned with regulatory standards while driving cost‑effective operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement asset management strategies and plans for mechanical and electrical assets.
• Control, monitor and optimise operational and maintenance costs, risks and performance across asset lifecycles.
• Coordinate readiness, operational requirements and standards for new assets.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to support safe and efficient operations.
• Lead, manage and develop a multidisciplinary technical team.
• Promote a high‑performance culture through people‑focused strategies.
• Ensure assets are fit for purpose, safe, reliable and comply with regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in mechanical/electrical asset management or a related engineering field.
• Proven people leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Relevant third‑level engineering qualification (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, or similar).
• Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management, cost optimisation and regulatory compliance.
