Entity Controller – Finance

About the role

Stripe is seeking an experienced Entity Controller to join its International Accounting team in Dublin. You will play a pivotal role in shaping technical accounting processes, financial reporting, and audit coordination for a fast‑growing global business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the monthly close of US GAAP and local books, including balance‑sheet reconciliations, schedules, flux analysis and reporting deliverables.
• Own the statutory audit process, preparing financial statements, technical memos, audit support and board presentations.
• Maintain fluency with US GAAP, IFRS and FRS102, producing required technical accounting documentation.
• Collaborate with Tax, Transfer Pricing, Treasury, Corporate Accounting and Legal on cross‑functional projects.
• Supervise finance outsourcing partners to ensure timely and accurate compliance filings.
• Drive process simplification and automation to improve efficiency.
• Monitor changes in Irish accounting and tax regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Oversee preparation and review of direct and indirect tax returns.

Required profile

• 8+ years of accounting experience, preferably with Big 4 audit background and industry exposure.
• Strong knowledge of accounting systems such as Oracle or equivalent.
• Extensive experience with large‑scale audits and tax filings.
• Deep understanding of US GAAP, IFRS and FRS102.
• Proven ability to manage cross‑functional initiatives and projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Professional certification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) and a degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience with consolidation processes and a problem‑solving mindset.
