About the role
Anthropic is seeking an Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to lead EHS activities across its EMEA locations, primarily based in Dublin. The role will support the rapid growth of the company in the UK, Ireland and continental Europe by implementing and adapting safety programs to meet local regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct regular onsite inspections, hazard and risk assessments, and ergonomic reviews at all EMEA sites.
- Investigate workplace incidents, injuries and illnesses, and manage occupational health cases in coordination with health providers, HR and legal teams.
- Establish and support health‑and‑safety committees, emergency response teams, and fire safety compliance in each jurisdiction (UK, Ireland, France, Germany, etc.).
- Collaborate with landlords, building managers and contractors to ensure shared spaces meet Anthropic’s safety standards.
- Co‑author and tailor Anthropic’s global EHS programs—including emergency action plans, fire safety, ergonomics, contractor safety and training—to local regulations.
- Lead fire risk assessments, track remediation actions and fulfil responsible‑person duties under European fire safety laws.
- Oversee environmental health activities such as hazardous material management, indoor‑air‑quality monitoring and water safety.
Required profile
- Proven experience as the primary EHS point of contact in a multi‑country environment, preferably within the technology or AI sector.
- Strong knowledge of UK, Irish and EU health‑and‑safety legislation and fire safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently while partnering with regional Workplace, Security, HR and Legal teams.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with employees, external partners and regulatory bodies.
