Equipment Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Equipment Maintenance Technician will carry out planned, predictive and reactive maintenance on a range of production and facility equipment. You will ensure operational efficiency, regulatory compliance and support the installation, commissioning, calibration and validation of new and existing machinery.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on AC/DC power systems, PLCs, servo drives and pneumatic components.
• Support equipment installation, commissioning, calibration and validation activities.
• Document all maintenance actions to meet regulatory standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair electromechanical faults, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Production teams on continuous‑improvement and lean initiatives.
• Provide technical support and training to fellow technicians.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and liaise with equipment suppliers for critical support.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
• NFQ Level 6 degree or equivalent trade qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Strong electromechanical aptitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Eligibility to work full‑time in Ireland and be over 18 years of age.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of PLCs.
• Experience with motor drives and servo drives.
• Familiarity with pneumatic components and AC/DC power systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Ability to analyse data and produce technical reports.
