Experienced Fertility Nurse

About the role

We are looking for an experienced fertility nurse to join our multidisciplinary team at a leading not‑for‑profit fertility clinic in Dublin. The role is full‑time, permanent and focuses on delivering patient‑centred care throughout the IVF journey.

Key responsibilities

• Attend theatre for procedures such as egg collection, surgical sperm retrieval, cyst aspiration, intra‑uterine insemination, ERA testing and abdominal scanning for embryo transfers.
• Provide direct patient care including nurse consultations, transvaginal ultrasound scanning, phlebotomy and ongoing communication throughout treatment cycles.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to quality management systems.
• Participate in continuous training and skills refreshment as required.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse or Midwife with NMBI registration (RGN or RM).
• Minimum two years of experience in fertility nursing.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive, enthusiastic, adaptable and compassionate with a commitment to patient‑centred care.
• Good organisational and time‑management skills and understanding of clinical quality systems.

Required skills

• Transvaginal ultrasound scanning.
• Phlebotomy.
• Theatre procedural skills (egg collection, sperm retrieval, cyst aspiration, IUI, ERA testing, embryo‑transfer scanning).
• Computer literacy for clinical documentation.
