Experienced TIG Welder – Banbridge

About the role

We are seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join a safety‑focused manufacturing team in Banbridge. The role is initially a temporary assignment of at least eight weeks, with strong potential to become permanent for high‑performing candidates. You will work a daytime schedule that finishes early on Fridays, allowing a balanced work‑life rhythm.

Key responsibilities

• Perform high‑quality TIG welding and pipework fabrication according to engineering drawings and company procedures.
• Fabricate black‑iron and stainless‑steel pipe sections to exact specifications.
• Prepare weld surfaces, manage consumables, and conduct pre‑ and post‑weld visual inspections.
• Pass on‑site practical weld tests to qualify for specific procedures.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Adhere strictly to Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies, using appropriate PPE and extraction equipment.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of hands‑on TIG welding and pipework fabrication experience.
• Proficient at reading and interpreting detailed engineering blueprints.
• Experience welding black iron and stainless‑steel pipe.
• Ability to pass an on‑site practical weld test.
• Willingness to undergo a basic DBS check.
• Strong attention to detail, work ethic and commitment to safety.

What we offer

• Competitive hourly rate of £18‑£20, scaled to experience.
• Approximately 39 hours per week, Monday‑Thursday 07:00‑16:00, Friday 07:00‑15:00.
