Finance Manager – Inventory Control (Manufacturing)

About the role

We are seeking a senior Finance Manager to lead inventory control and cost management within a multinational manufacturing environment in Dublin. The role combines hands‑on financial control, strategic business partnering and leadership of the finance team, reporting to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor operational costs against approved budgets and analyse daily gross profit margins.
• Track inventory usage, wastage and material consumption, and own standard costing and variance analysis.
• Provide financial decision support to operational leaders and conduct cost trend and margin reviews.
• Lead financial planning, forecasting cycles and present performance reports to senior management.
• Ensure integrity of the general ledger, manufacturing cost accounting and statutory accounts, managing audit processes.
• Maintain robust internal controls, compliance standards and evaluate departmental spend against KPIs.
• Drive margin protection, cost optimisation initiatives and oversee overhead absorption.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
• Extensive experience in manufacturing finance, with deep knowledge of standard costing and inventory accounting.
• Proven ability to partner with operational leadership and influence business decisions.
• Experience working with ERP systems in a production environment.
