Finance Manager

About the role

Occu, Ireland’s leading independent PRS asset manager, is seeking a Finance Manager to own day‑to‑day financial operations, controls and reporting. Reporting to the CFO, the role will be hands‑on and pivotal as the business scales, offering broad exposure across the portfolio of 4,500 residential units.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full month‑end close, prepare management accounts and provide variance analysis for senior leadership.
• Maintain robust reconciliations, audit trails and documentation to ensure financial accuracy.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and other statutory filings in line with Irish Revenue requirements.
• Support the preparation of year‑end statutory accounts under Irish GAAP / FRS 102 and act as primary liaison with external auditors.
• Develop and monitor cash‑flow forecasts, identify risks and opportunities, and contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting cycles.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

Required profile

• Qualified or near‑qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA) with post‑qualification experience at a financial controller level.
• Experience in a fast‑moving SME or asset‑backed environment, preferably within real‑estate or property management.
• Proven ability to manage a small team and drive process improvements.
