Finance & Operations Associate

About the role

Drive Inc. is looking for a Finance & Operations Associate to own and optimise the auction workflow while keeping the financial side tight. You will ensure listings are accurate, reserves are set correctly, queries are resolved quickly, and ownership transfers are compliant, all while managing invoicing, credit control and daily reconciliations.

Key responsibilities

• Own auction listings from preparation to live publication, guaranteeing quality and documentation.
• Set and manage reserves in partnership with sales and sellers, balancing expectations and sell‑through.
• Serve as first‑line contact for auction queries, resolving issues promptly.
• Manage post‑sale ownership transfers, ensuring compliance and smooth hand‑over.
• Issue sale invoices, chase aged receivables, and release vehicles for transport.
• Reconcile bank transactions daily in Xero, mark receivables paid and reconcile payables.
• Generate payment runs and issue remittance advice.
• Support month‑end closing, Opex and transport invoice booking, balance‑sheet reconciliations and VAT filing for ROI, NI and NLC.
• Collaborate with Sales, Buyer Experience, Transport and Finance to keep the platform running.
• Handle arbitrations, gather evidence, assess against policy and close cases fairly.
• Maintain accounts, transport and arbitration inboxes, clearing items the same day.
• Identify process gaps, drive continuous improvement and help cross‑train the wider team.

Required profile

• Strong finance mindset with experience in invoicing, reconciliations and Excel.
• Hands‑on attitude towards operations and willingness to own end‑to‑end processes.
• Proactive problem‑solver who can balance operational and financial priorities.
