Financial Accountant – Insurance

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Accountant to join a leading multinational insurance company in Dublin on a permanent basis. The role will support high‑quality group, statutory and regulatory reporting while working closely with senior finance stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate preparation and review of quarterly financial statements and management reporting packs.
• Support delivery of quarterly regulatory reporting, including solvency‑related returns where applicable.
• Contribute to the preparation and production of annual statutory financial statements under IFRS.
• Coordinate liquidity and cash‑management activities and oversee banking administration processes.
• Assist with corporate tax reporting and return preparation.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and reporting efficiencies across Finance.
• Participate in departmental and wider business initiatives to enhance workflow and operational effectiveness.
• Support additional finance projects and ad‑hoc activities as required.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
• Previous experience in financial reporting, regulatory reporting, insurance or a similarly regulated environment.
• Experience preparing financial statements under IFRS is preferred.
• Insurance sector experience is advantageous but not essential.

Required skills

• SAP reporting tools or similar finance systems.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS reporting standards.
