Financial Business Analyst – IBM Cognos Controller (6-month contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Business Analyst with strong experience in IBM Cognos Controller to join a multinational professional services firm on a six-month contract, with the possibility of extension. The role is based in Dublin and will be performed in a hybrid working model.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse current consolidation and reporting processes and capture functional requirements.
• Collaborate with finance stakeholders to gather statutory, regulatory and IFRS reporting needs.
• Define data flows, integration points and reconciliation requirements.
• Support testing activities and validate output against expected reporting results.
• Act as subject-matter expert for consolidation and reporting components throughout delivery.
• Work closely with product owners, engineers and third-party vendors.
• Produce documentation that meets project governance and assurance standards.

Required profile

• 5-7+ years of financial business analysis experience, preferably in reporting or consolidation.
• Proven expertise with the IBM Cognos Controller platform.
• Strong ability to work with complex financial data, hierarchies and reporting classifications.
• Excellent written communication skills for clear functional documentation.
• Demonstrated stakeholder engagement with finance, technology and external partners.
