Financial Controller – 4‑Day Week, Bray

About the role

This newly created position offers a senior finance professional the chance to lead the finance function of a purpose‑driven SME in Bray. Reporting directly to the CEO and Board, you will combine strategic insight with hands‑on financial management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the finance function and manage one direct report
• Prepare monthly management accounts and board reports
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management
• Drive financial planning and commercial analysis
• Manage audit, compliance and financial controls
• Support strategic decision‑making with meaningful financial insight
• Identify and implement process improvements across the finance function

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA)
• Previous experience as a Financial Controller or Finance Manager
• Strong management reporting, budgeting and cash‑flow experience
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Comfortable operating in a hands‑on SME environment
• Experience in retail, wholesale, distribution or e‑commerce is a significant advantage
