Financial Controller

About the role

We are partnering with a successful, fast‑growing Dublin‑based organisation to hire a Financial Controller. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead day‑to‑day finance operations while providing commercial insight and financial leadership to support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the month‑end close process and deliver timely, accurate management reporting.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management activities.
• Provide analysis on profitability, margins, costs and overall business performance.
• Enhance financial controls, reporting processes and governance frameworks.
• Partner with operational and commercial teams to support decision‑making and business growth.
• Manage external relationships, including auditors and tax advisors.
• Oversee statutory reporting and compliance requirements.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team.
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and reporting capabilities.
• Support strategic initiatives, investment decisions and commercial projects.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or similar senior finance leadership role.
• Strong background in a commercial, fast‑moving business environment.
• Excellent technical accounting knowledge combined with a commercial mindset.
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing finance teams.
• Hands‑on, proactive and able to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment and driving continuous improvement.
