Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Financial Controller to join an entrepreneurial, owner‑led commercial real estate firm in Dublin. Working directly with the Managing Director and CFO, you will drive finance activities across new acquisitions, portfolio management and the company’s growth strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full finance function for the portfolio, including SPVs, holding structures and property‑level entities.
• Support new acquisitions through financial modelling, structuring and execution.
• Manage treasury, debt facilities and relationships with lenders.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management at both asset and portfolio level.
• Monitor portfolio performance – yields, IRR, returns and covenant compliance.
• Oversee a lean internal finance team and coordinate multiple external advisors.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA) with approximately 10 years post‑qualification experience.
• Background in real estate, property investment, private‑equity real estate, funds/SPVs/ICAVs or investment management.
• Technically strong with hands‑on experience in reporting, treasury, tax and debt.
• Commercially minded and comfortable influencing deal decisions.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a team.
