Financial Controller

About the role

Fortivum, an international engineering consultancy, is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead its finance function in Dublin. Reporting to the CFO, you will combine operational finance leadership with business improvement, playing a key role in the rollout of a new ERP platform.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly financial reporting and month‑end close across a multi‑entity business.
• Prepare management accounts, board reports and financial analysis.
• Manage statutory reporting, external audits and group consolidations.
• Oversee cash‑flow forecasting, liquidity and working‑capital management.
• Ensure tax, VAT and regulatory compliance in multiple jurisdictions.
• Support project accounting, revenue recognition and commercial performance.
• Drive the finance workstream for the ERP implementation, including process design, data migration, testing and business transition.
• Continuously improve financial processes and internal controls.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with at least three years post‑qualification experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role.
• Experience in multi‑entity and/or international organisations.
• Strong background in financial reporting, cash‑flow management and financial controls.
• Previous involvement in ERP implementation, migration or finance transformation projects.
• Collaborative approach with solid commercial and analytical abilities.
• Experience in engineering, construction, professional services or other project‑based environments is a plus.
