Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead our finance function and support the continued growth of the organisation. This senior leadership role works closely with the management team, influencing strategic decisions and driving financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
• Prepare and present monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and variance analysis.
• Partner with senior leadership to support business planning, decision‑making and growth initiatives.
• Lead the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Manage cash flow, working capital and financial performance reporting.
• Ensure strong financial controls, governance and compliance across the organisation.
• Coordinate year‑end activities and manage relationships with external auditors and advisors.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team.
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, reporting and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience operating at Financial Controller level.
• Strong financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop finance teams.
• Commercially minded with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong systems and Excel capability.
