Financial Controller

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join a well‑established, growing Irish organisation. This senior leadership position will oversee financial control, reporting, treasury and compliance across a multi‑entity business, reporting directly to the CFO.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the CFO to shape the strategic direction of the finance function.
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Lead the month‑end close process, ensuring robust financial controls.
• Manage statutory reporting, tax and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee treasury activities, cash‑flow forecasting and banking relationships.
• Support annual external audits and maintain strong governance.
• Lead, develop and motivate a finance team, fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Drive process improvements, automation and enhanced financial reporting.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external advisors.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Minimum five years’ experience in a senior finance leadership or Financial Controller role.
• Strong technical accounting, financial reporting and control expertise.
• Proven experience leading and developing finance teams.
• Commercially aware with excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Confident communicator with senior business stakeholders.

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience using ERP or finance systems.
