Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will join a growing design and manufacturing services team in Shannon, playing a pivotal role in financial reporting, cost analysis, and supporting business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Own the month‑end close process, including journals, reconciliations and management reporting packs.
• Maintain and reconcile Fixed Assets, Prepayments, Accruals, Customer Deposits and Net Wages.
• Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.
• Oversee bank and credit‑card transactions with monthly reconciliations.
• Prepare and manage weekly cash‑flow reports and forecasts.
• Handle revenue returns, VAT and PREM correspondence.
• Produce regular and ad‑hoc financial reports and performance metrics.
• Develop cash‑flow plans and analyse performance against sales forecasts.
• Collaborate with the CEO on cash planning and sales forecasting.
• Ensure robust financial controls and support continuous‑improvement initiatives, including ERP projects.

Required profile

• Level 8 degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification.
• Minimum 5 years experience in an accounting role, preferably within design, engineering or manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of financial and management accounting principles.
• High accuracy, attention to detail and ability to work independently and in cross‑functional teams.
