Financial Controller – Manufacturing – Dublin

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Financial Controller to join the senior leadership team of a long‑established Irish manufacturing business. This position combines commercial insight with operational finance responsibilities and offers a clear pathway to a Finance Director role as the company grows.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
• Prepare and present financial reports to the Board as required.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow analysis and year‑end processes.
• Oversee all costing activities, reviewing costs against budget and supporting operational teams.
• Handle statutory filings and coordinate with group auditors.
• Provide oversight of the IT function related to finance systems.
• Prepare and evaluate business development proposals.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant, preferably with manufacturing experience.
• Proven ability to lead a finance team.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical/problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Self‑motivated team player with strong written and verbal communication.
