Financial Controller – Manufacturing (Hybrid)

About the role

The company, an exporting Irish SME in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a Financial Controller to lead its finance function. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will manage day‑to‑day financial operations and contribute to commercial growth in both domestic and international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and management of quarterly and annual budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Review and present monthly management accounts to senior leadership, providing insightful analysis of performance and trends.
• Partner with operations to drive performance, support project execution, and improve commercial outcomes.
• Ensure VAT compliance and stay up‑to‑date with relevant legislation.
• Oversee cash‑flow forecasting, monitor liquidity, and manage timely payment processing.
• Prepare high‑quality quarterly and annual financial reports in line with internal and external requirements.
• Develop, implement, and continuously enhance robust financial controls and processes.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proactive problem‑solver with a commitment to continuous learning.
