Financial Policy Officer – Luxembourg

About the role

The European Investment Bank is seeking a Financial Policy Officer to join its Finance Directorate in Luxembourg. The position is based at the headquarters, requires regular office presence and offers relocation support. You will work within the Financial Policies & Methodologies Division, reporting to the Head of Division.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor regulatory and supervisory developments affecting the Bank and analyse their impact.
• Design, test, implement and revise financial policies for treasury, capital markets and back‑office activities.
• Assess financial risks in the first line (interest rate, FX, market, liquidity, counter‑party credit).
• Conduct financial analysis and impact‑assessment studies to support committees such as ALCO.
• Contribute to bank‑wide initiatives including ILAAP, ICAAP, liquidity contingency planning, stress testing and Pillar 3 reporting.
• Prepare briefing notes and policy recommendations for senior management.

Required profile

• Proactive, flexible and able to work autonomously.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interact with Risk Management, Legal, Financial Control and other departments.
• Interest in best banking practices and international financial institution standards.
