Finishing Supervisor – Residential Construction

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finishing Supervisor to lead the finishing works on a large‑scale residential development in Dublin 12. You will ensure high‑quality finishes are delivered on time, working closely with the Site and Project Managers.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all on‑site finishing works, ensuring they meet project standards and timelines.
• Manage subcontractors and tradespeople, enforcing specifications and safety regulations.
• Coordinate quality control for snagging, fit‑out, joinery, plastering, painting, flooring, tiling and other finishing tasks.
• Collaborate with Site Manager and Project Manager for smooth execution and handover of units.
• Maintain health and safety standards and a safe working environment.
• Liaise with clients, architects and design teams to resolve finish‑related issues.
• Monitor material and labour usage, tracking progress against the schedule.
• Maintain detailed site records, daily reports, quality checks and variation logs.
• Conduct final quality inspections and ensure snagging lists are completed before handover.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Finishing Foreman or Supervisor in residential or high‑end commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials and finishing techniques.
• Ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors simultaneously.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with site teams, subcontractors and clients.
• Thorough understanding of health and safety standards.
• Capability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Relevant construction management qualifications or certifications are an advantage.
