Fleet Manager – Nationwide Operations

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Fleet Manager to lead our nationwide fleet function, supporting major civil engineering and infrastructure projects across Ireland. This full‑time, office‑based role is based in our Sallins office and will oversee approximately 400 vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the day‑to‑day operation of a nationwide fleet of around 400 vehicles.
• Lead and develop the fleet department and its wider functions.
• Drive implementation and continuous improvement of Fleet Management Systems.
• Oversee driver compliance, safety and performance.
• Ensure compliance with RSA, TII, CVRT, insurance and other fleet regulations.
• Monitor vehicle utilisation, downtime, maintenance, servicing and fleet costs.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, leasing providers, maintenance contractors and telematics providers.
• Promote a strong culture of road safety, accountability and operational excellence.
• Support operational teams across multiple live projects nationwide.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing a large‑scale fleet (300 + vehicles preferred).
• Strong background in logistics, transport, construction, civil engineering, utilities or similar operational environments.
• Proven leadership and people‑management capability.
• Experience managing driver compliance, vehicle maintenance, fleet operations, fleet systems and reporting, KPIs and cost control.
• In‑depth knowledge of RSA requirements, TII compliance, commercial vehicle regulations and driver safety standards.
