Freelance Biology & Python AI Trainer

About the role

We are looking for a freelance Biology and Python expert to design and validate computational biology problems for AI training projects. The role is project‑based, remote and offers flexible hours.

Key responsibilities

• Design original computational biology problem statements that reflect real research workflows.
• Create Python‑based challenges using libraries such as NumPy, SciPy and BioPython.
• Ensure problems are computationally intensive and require non‑trivial reasoning.
• Base tasks on genuine biological research questions or practical applications.
• Validate solutions with Python code and provide clear documentation and correct answers.

Required profile

• Degree in Biology, Bioinformatics or a related field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in biological data analysis, research or teaching.
• Strong written English proficiency (C1 level or higher).

Required skills

• Python programming.
• NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, BioPython.
• Familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL or Stata (any is acceptable).
• Experience with bioinformatics tools and computational methods.

What we offer

• Remote, freelance contract.
• Estimated workload of 10‑20 hours per week during active phases.
• Compensation up to $45 per hour, based on expertise and contribution speed.
