About the role
We are looking for a Chemistry and Python specialist to design and validate computational chemistry problems for AI training projects. The work is freelance, project‑based and fully remote.
Key responsibilities
- Design original computational chemistry problems that mimic real research workflows.
- Create Python‑based tasks using libraries such as NumPy, SciPy and domain‑specific chemistry packages.
- Ensure problems are computationally intensive and cannot be solved manually within reasonable timeframes.
- Develop challenges that require non‑trivial reasoning in physical, quantum and molecular modeling.
- Base tasks on actual research questions or practical chemistry applications.
- Verify solutions programmatically and provide clear documentation with correct answers.
Required profile
- Degree in Chemistry or a closely related field.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in applied research, teaching or industry.
- Strong written English proficiency (C1 level or higher).
- Experience with numerical methods and computational chemistry concepts.
Required skills
- Python programming.
- NumPy, Pandas, SciPy.
- Domain‑specific chemistry libraries (e.g., RDKit, Open Babel, Psi4).
- Familiarity with MATLAB, R, C or SQL (optional).
