Freight Forwarder – Control Tower (Customer Operations)

About the role

We are seeking a Freight Forwarder to join DSV’s Control Tower in Shannon. The role focuses on end‑to‑end visibility of customer orders, proactive communication, and supporting operational performance across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain full visibility and control of customer orders and shipments throughout the supply chain.
• Provide professional, timely updates to customers and handle queries efficiently.
• Execute administrative tasks such as file opening, invoicing, customs documentation, and system data entry with high accuracy.
• Prepare and manage in‑transit reports and share information with suppliers, carriers, and third‑party logistics partners.
• Identify and escalate early‑warning alerts to prevent supply‑chain disruptions.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Air Freight, Commercial, Finance, HR, Brokerage) and external stakeholders (airlines, agents, overseas offices, customers).

Required profile

• Experience in office administration and customer service, preferably in logistics or distribution.
• Highly organised with strong planning abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset with a focus on quality and accuracy.
• Clear communicator with a customer‑service orientation and relationship‑building skills.
• Proactive, adaptable and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
