Fund Financial Controller – Hedge Fund (Dublin)

About the role

We are looking for a Fund Financial Controller to join the finance team of a leading international hedge fund in Dublin. The role will support the Finance Director and provide visibility across a $1 billion AUM fund, handling reporting, controls and operational finance across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee quarterly management reporting and consolidation of accounts for several entities.
• Manage balance‑sheet reconciliations, journal entries and financial analysis.
• Supervise accounts payable, cash management and multi‑currency transactions.
• Coordinate preparation of financial statements under IFRS and US GAAP.
• Lead year‑end audit processes and liaise with external auditors.
• Support Irish and international tax compliance activities.
• Ensure regulatory and corporate compliance across jurisdictions.
• Maintain relationships with fund administrators, advisors and external service providers.
• Strengthen internal controls, finance procedures and drive automation initiatives.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant, preferably with Big 4 training (0‑3 years post‑qualification experience).
• Experience in financial services or investment management is preferred.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, especially IFRS and US GAAP.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, international environment.
