Global Communications Manager

About the role

The Global Communications Manager will lead internal and external communication initiatives for a multinational client, ensuring consistency and alignment across regional teams. Based in Athenry, Galway, this full‑time permanent role reports to senior leadership and works closely with marketing, PR agencies, and operational teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver internal global communications, including corporate updates, leadership messaging, and organisational news.
• Write and distribute CEO‑level communications to field and internal audiences.
• Define and enforce clear boundaries between global and regional communication responsibilities.
• Develop and implement a global communications framework, including templates, playbooks, and toolkits.
• Translate global campaigns, product launches, and initiatives into structured communication toolkits for regional execution.
• Maintain consistency in tone, voice, and clarity across all messaging.
• Manage recurring communications such as weekly updates and newsletters.
• Own and manage the global PR strategy, evaluate and oversee PR agencies worldwide, and ensure ROI.
• Track and report on program effectiveness and ROI globally and regionally.
• Coordinate content calendars and collaborate with Marketing Operations on production and contracts.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field.
• 5‑6+ years of experience in communications, content, or marketing.
• Proven experience building and governing global communication frameworks.
• Experience managing multi‑channel communications and PR agencies with measurable outcomes.
• Familiarity with content ecosystems such as email platforms and content hubs.
