Group Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller to lead the finance function for our Irish operations and act as the primary liaison with the parent multinational group. Reporting to the General Manager, this senior position will shape the finance strategy, support business growth and ensure robust financial governance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multi‑jurisdictional finance team.
• Deliver financial reporting and KPI analysis.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow, reviewing performance against projections.
• Oversee full accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Ensure statutory filings and compliance.
• Manage the year‑end process and coordinate with group auditors.
• Review and improve accounting systems, policies and procedures.
• Prepare and evaluate business development proposals.
• Handle financial, operational and commercial risk management.
• Oversee treasury activities.
• Coordinate IT initiatives in line with group requirements.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with relevant experience.
• Industry experience in agri, manufacturing or food environments, preferably within a multinational context.
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams.
• Strong technical financial accounting expertise.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Detail‑oriented with the capacity to meet tight deadlines.
• Self‑motivated team player capable of working independently.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of financial systems.
