Group Head of Tax – International Group

About the role

This is a high‑impact, senior leadership position reporting to the CFO of an international group headquartered in Dublin. The role will shape and execute the group’s tax strategy while supporting rapid expansion and acquisition activity.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and manage tax risks across all relevant tax heads for the group.
• Lead tax compliance, including annual filings and advisory fee budgeting.
• Partner with external tax advisors and develop in‑house expertise.
• Provide tax advice for M&A transactions, review due‑diligence materials, and manage multi‑party tax due‑diligence processes.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Company Secretarial and Commercial teams, and engage with auditors, advisors and investors.
• Oversee preparation and review of legal documents arising from tax structuring.
• Manage cross‑border transfer pricing, ensuring compliance with head‑office margins and local documentation.
• Lead interactions with Irish Revenue and other tax authorities in relevant jurisdictions.
• Support month‑end, quarterly and year‑end reporting for tax and treasury.

Required profile

• Qualified tax professional with extensive post‑qualification experience in a listed international group.
• Strong background in managing international tax matters across multiple European jurisdictions.
• Significant exposure to M&A activity and transaction‑related tax issues.
• Experience in treasury functions (cash management, liquidity, funding strategy) is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
