Job description
About the role
We’re looking for a Head of Client Asset Oversight to play a central role in building Seccl Ireland. You’ll take ownership (PCF‑45 holder) of how we safeguard client money and assets, shaping the controls, governance and ways of working that will underpin our Irish business as it grows.
Key responsibilities
- Own Seccl Ireland’s client asset framework and ensure compliance with the Central Bank of Ireland’s Client Asset Requirements.
- Maintain and evolve the Client Asset Management Plan, Applicability Matrix and Key Information Document.
- Build effective first‑line controls, monitoring and assurance to safeguard client money and assets.
- Provide clear reporting and insight on client asset compliance, risks and controls to senior leaders, the Ireland Board and relevant committees.
- Lead regulatory reporting, the annual Client Asset Examination and engagement with auditors and the Central Bank of Ireland.
- Review client asset breaches and near misses, understand root causes and embed improvements.
- Collaborate with operations, finance, product, engineering, legal, compliance and UK client‑asset specialists to embed client‑asset considerations across the business.
Required profile
- Significant experience working with client‑asset regulation and oversight in a regulated financial services business.
- Proven ability to take on PCF‑45 responsibilities and translate Central Bank of Ireland requirements into practical controls, policies and processes.
- Experience building or maintaining client‑asset governance, monitoring, assurance and regulatory reporting frameworks.
- Comfort providing constructive challenge, escalating material concerns and making clear decisions where client assets are at risk.
- Strong relationship‑building skills with regulators, auditors, senior leaders and cross‑functional teams.
- Experience establishing or scaling a client‑asset framework in Ireland is a plus, though not essential.
What we offer
- Salary €135,000‑€155,000 per year, reviewed annually, plus a 6 % employer pension contribution.
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, flexible holiday policy and your birthday off.
- Two volunteering days per year and the option to work abroad for up to six weeks.
- One‑month paid sabbatical after eight years of service.
- Private medical insurance, enhanced parental leave and health‑and‑wellbeing support.
- MacBook, up to €500 home‑office allowance, €750 annual learning budget and access to Perkbox.
