Head of Finance – Europe

About the role

Lumon, a leading fintech specialising in foreign exchange and international payments, is seeking a Head of Finance for its European operations. The role combines day‑to‑day financial management with strategic oversight of investment strategy and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including forecasting, budgeting and cash‑flow management.
• Develop and maintain robust financial controls, procedures and policies in line with Group Financial Control.
• Manage the resourcing and development of the finance function.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and forecasts for the European business and Group consolidation.
• Support the Lumon Europe CEO in shaping strategies to improve ROI and profitability.
• Present financial reports to the Executive Leadership Team, Board, investors and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS and submit regulatory returns to the Central Bank of Ireland.
• Deliver year‑end accounts, coordinate statutory audit activities and liaise with auditors.

Required profile

• 5+ years post‑qualification finance experience, preferably at a senior manager level.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to advise on financial risks and mitigation.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of UK GAAP.
• Proficiency with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Expertise in financial planning, budgeting and cash‑flow management.
• Experience preparing regulatory returns for the Central Bank of Ireland.
