Head of Risk and Head of Compliance

About the role

MUFG Investor Services (Ireland) Limited is seeking a senior executive to lead both risk and compliance functions for its newly established MiFID‑regulated entity. Reporting directly to the Board, the role combines the responsibilities of Head of Compliance (PCF‑12) and Chief Risk Officer (PCF‑14), and will also act as AMLCO and MLRO.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as Head of Compliance (PCF‑12), overseeing the compliance function and reporting to the Board or relevant sub‑committee.
• Prepare and present quarterly and annual compliance reports, highlighting critical matters, regulatory changes, and incidents.
• Develop, maintain and periodically update a comprehensive compliance framework covering Irish and EU MiFID requirements (ESG, MAD, MiFIR, IAF, SEAR, F&P, CPC, IFR/IFD, GDPR, etc.).
• Act as primary liaison with the Central Bank of Ireland and other regulators, managing examinations and information requests.
• Lead regulatory impact assessments for new products, services, and geographic expansions.
• Serve as Chief Risk Officer (PCF‑14), managing the firm’s risk function and reporting risk matters to the Board.
• Hold overall responsibility for the risk management framework, including identification, measurement, monitoring and mitigation of risks.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in senior compliance and risk roles within a regulated financial services environment.
• Deep knowledge of MiFID, AML/CTF, ESG, GDPR and related EU regulatory regimes.
• Proven ability to interact with senior regulators and manage regulatory examinations.
• Strong governance and reporting skills, with experience presenting to boards.
