Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager

About the role

The Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager will lead the HSE function for a global manufacturing plant, ensuring compliance, continuous improvement and a safe working environment for all employees.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop the HSE Management System across the site.
• Lead accident and incident investigations, providing timely reports and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Production, Planning, Sales and Finance to ensure HSE procedures are followed.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and annual HSE performance reports for the Plant Manager.
• Conduct risk assessments and design Safe Systems of Work.
• Manage capital and special HSE projects, including budgeting and contractor oversight.
• Coordinate environmental and health & safety audits to successful completion.
• Organise and deliver HSE training for staff.
• Support the introduction of new HSE policies, systems and procedures.
• Oversee procurement of PPE and related safety supplies.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent qualification with a recognised HSE certification.
• Proven experience leading HSE functions in a busy manufacturing environment.
