Healthcare Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Healthcare Assistant to support service users in their homes, helping them maintain dignity and independence. You will work under the supervision of a Field Care Supervisor, providing personal care, mobility assistance, and emotional support.

Key responsibilities

• Assist service users with morning and evening routines, including dressing, washing, bathing and toileting.
• Support mobility and manage physical disabilities, incontinence, and use of personal aids.
• Provide care for temporarily sick or terminally ill service users.
• Promote mental and physical activities through conversation, outings, reading, writing and hobbies.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as making beds, cleaning, emptying commodes and tidying.
• Prepare and serve light meals, set tables, and clean up after meals.
• Complete reports, participate in service user reviews and communicate any health changes to the supervisor.
• Follow all Caremark policies and encourage independence wherever possible.
