Healthcare Assistant

About the role

Caremark is seeking compassionate Healthcare Assistants to provide personal care and support to service users in their own homes. You will work under the supervision of a Field Care Supervisor, helping individuals maintain dignity, independence, and quality of life.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with morning and evening routines, including dressing, washing, bathing, and toileting.
• Support mobility, manage incontinence, and use personal aids or equipment.
• Provide care for temporarily sick or terminally ill service users.
• Promote mental and physical activity through conversation, outings, reading, writing, and hobbies.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as making beds, cleaning, and tidying.
• Prepare, serve, and clear light meals.
• Complete reports, participate in service‑user reviews, and report any significant health changes.
• Follow all Caremark policies and encourage user independence wherever possible.
