HR Generalist

About the role

Elis is seeking an HR Generalist to join its Irish operations. Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you will support managers and employees across multiple laundry and linen service sites, ensuring compliance with Irish employment law and delivering a positive employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line HR support on employee relations, disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance matters.
• Assist with investigations, documentation and conflict resolution in line with company policy and legislation.
• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment, including job postings, screening, interviews and offers.
• Coordinate onboarding, induction and maintain accurate employee records per GDPR.
• Prepare HR reports, support probation reviews and performance improvement plans.
• Coach managers on employee development, engagement and best HR practices.
• Ensure HR policies comply with Irish employment legislation.
• Identify training needs, support learning initiatives and wellbeing programmes.
• Promote diversity, equity and inclusion across the organisation.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in an HR administration or generalist role.
• Good knowledge of employment law and HR best practice in ROI & NI.
• Degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information and make sound decisions.
• Organised, commercially aware and able to balance multiple priorities.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel regularly between sites.
