HR Generalist – Monaghan (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join a multi‑site engineering group in Monaghan. This permanent, full‑time position will act as a trusted advisor, delivering both strategic and operational HR support across several business divisions.

Key responsibilities

• Advise managers and employees on HR policies, procedures and Irish employment law.
• Support organisational development, workforce and succession planning.
• Lead HR input into business growth, restructuring and change initiatives.
• Manage employee‑relations cases, including disciplinaries, grievances and absence.
• Drive culture, engagement and wellbeing programmes across the group.
• Lead end‑to‑end recruitment campaigns and support onboarding.
• Coordinate training and development activities and contribute to the L&D strategy.
• Assist with HR systems implementation and continuous improvement.
• Produce accurate HR reporting and contribute to strategic projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a generalist HR role.
• CIPD Level 5 (or progressing towards it).
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
• Proven experience handling employee‑relations casework.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build trusted relationships.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and solutions‑focused.
