Indirect Tax Compliance Accounting Supervisor

About the role

eBay is seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Compliance Accounting Supervisor to join its Dublin Shared Services team. You will support the Americas ITC group and ensure accurate sales‑tax compliance and accounting across multiple regions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide support for Americas sales‑tax compliance and accounting for eBay and its affiliates.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and reporting standards.
• Coordinate internal and external teams to prepare and review transaction‑level working papers for statutory filings.
• Oversee compliance activities for selected Canadian, Central and South American regions.
• Execute monthly close processes and external statutory reporting.
• Prepare reconciliations of relevant G/L accounts and maintain financial statement integrity.
• Supervise compliance activities performed by third‑party support teams.
• Lead projects, drive operational improvements, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (CPA or JD a plus).
• Strong technical accounting background with at least five years of general‑ledger accounting and indirect‑tax experience.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with SAP Financial System or other ERP platforms.
