Information & Outreach Officer – Migration & RFL

About the role

The Irish Red Cross Society is seeking an Information & Outreach Officer to develop and deliver accessible information and training on migration and Restoring Family Links (RFL). You will work with beneficiaries of Temporary Protection and International Protection applicants, including unaccompanied minors, ensuring they understand their rights and administrative processes.

Key responsibilities

• Produce high‑quality, accurate information materials tailored to beneficiaries, based on current policy and legislation.
• Design and deliver in‑person and online training sessions for stakeholders and beneficiaries.
• Create multilingual resources to explain administrative procedures, rights, and entitlements.
• Collaborate with Communications to develop videos, social media content, and website updates.
• Monitor policy changes with the Policy Officer and update materials accordingly.
• Support Monitoring & Evaluation team with surveys and needs assessments.
• Uphold safeguarding standards and ensure cultural and linguistic accessibility in all activities.

Required profile

• Experience developing accessible information and delivering training on migration or related humanitarian topics.
• Knowledge of the Temporary Protection Directive and International Protection processes.
• Ability to work evenings and occasional weekends; flexibility for in‑person sessions.
• Willingness to undergo Garda vetting and adhere to safeguarding policies.
