Installation Supervisor – Robotics & Automation

About the role

The Installation Supervisor – Robotics & Automation will lead on‑site deployment of robotic and automation systems for customers in Ireland. Working in a hybrid model, you will combine hands‑on technical work with coordination across product, logistics and software teams.

Key responsibilities

• Install, test and commission robotics, AMR/AGV and industrial control equipment on customer sites.
• Read and interpret AutoCAD layouts, electrical schematics and mechanical drawings to ensure correct equipment positioning.
• Manage contractor and technician teams, assign tasks and enforce safety standards.
• Document installation checklists, site issues, root‑cause analyses and closure reports.
• Coordinate with technical support, product, logistics and software engineers to resolve deployment challenges.
• Travel to customer locations and stay on‑site as required.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of hands‑on experience in installation, testing and commissioning of automation or robotics systems.
• Experience in customer‑facing deployment environments, preferably warehouse automation or industrial robotics.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams, schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Willingness to travel and stay on‑site.

Required skills

• AutoCAD for site layout interpretation.
• Electrical wiring, control panel handling and sensor integration.
• Basic PLC programming, I/O and sensor knowledge.
• Linux command line for log analysis and troubleshooting.
• Network configuration (IP addressing, switches, ping/telnet testing).
• Safety systems such as LIDAR, ODS, emergency‑stop and bumpers.
• Use of testing tools including multimeters, power analysers and diagnostic devices.
