Internal Audit Senior – Professional Services Firm

About the role

We are partnering with a leading, high‑growth professional services firm in Dublin to recruit an Internal Audit Senior. The successful candidate will join a supportive, high‑performing team that values work‑life harmony and offers clear career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver internal audit engagements from planning through to reporting for external clients.
• Understand client businesses, processes and risk environments to tailor audit approaches.
• Perform risk assessments and develop audit plans aligned to client priorities.
• Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls.
• Identify control weaknesses and provide commercial, value‑added recommendations.
• Prepare clear, concise and impactful audit reports for senior client stakeholders.
• Manage client relationships and act as a key point of contact during engagements.
• Supervise and review the work of junior team members.
• Ensure audits are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
• Support business development activities, including proposals and client pitches.
• Stay up to date with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• 1‑2 years post‑qualification experience in a similar practice environment.
• Strong technical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
• Motivated team player with a proactive approach.
