Internal Communications Manager – Semi-State Utility

About the role

As an Internal Communications Manager you will join a leading Irish semi‑state utility, reporting to the Head of Internal Communications. You will help translate organisational priorities into clear messages that engage employees and connect their daily work to the company’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver internal communications aligned with company priorities, focusing on leadership messaging, strategic initiatives and employee advocacy.
• Develop and manage frontline and field‑force communications to ensure consistent understanding across all levels.
• Create engaging content and optimise communication channels, including the employee intranet and digital platforms.
• Leverage media, marketing and digital expertise to shape effective internal messaging.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to support change, transformation and stakeholder expectations.

Required profile

• Recent experience in a similar internal communications role, preferably within a utility, regulated or multi‑stakeholder environment.
• Proven track record in leadership, change and transformation communications.
• Excellent writing and editing skills, with experience using AI tools to enhance content quality and speed.
• Ability to handle complex issues proactively and communicate solutions clearly.
• Strong organisational skills, meeting deadlines and adapting to ambiguity.
