IT Field Engineer – Dublin

About the role

Our client is launching a new roll‑out project and needs an IT Field Engineer to work from their Dublin headquarters. The role is field‑based and involves installing, configuring and supporting a wide range of IT hardware, software and network systems across client sites.

Key responsibilities

• Install PCs and laptops, configure IP settings, deploy images and join devices to the domain.
• Configure and support Virtual Desktop Environments using VMware.
• Set up and manage smart devices on iOS and Android platforms.
• Provide support for digital radio mobile equipment and associated antenna systems.
• Maintain Control Room services, including CCTV systems.
• Configure desk‑based telephony solutions such as Avaya and Cisco.
• Perform network patching, install and maintain networked printers and scanners.
• Produce technical documentation and knowledge‑base articles.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a field support engineering role.
• Proficiency with virtualization technologies, especially VMware.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and Exchange.
• Experience with networking hardware and protocols (Cisco, HP, Aruba).
• Full clean driving licence and own transport.
• Fluent English communication.
• Irish/EU citizenship or Stamp 4 visa.
