IT Systems Administrator – West Donegal

About the role

We are seeking an IT Systems Administrator to support our IT Manager in the day‑to‑day operation of a technology‑driven manufacturing business exporting to over 48 countries. This permanent, full‑time position offers a competitive salary and strong development opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line IT support for hardware, software, Microsoft 365, Active Directory and business applications.
• Assist with user onboarding/off‑boarding, device provisioning and account management for internal and external users.
• Maintain desktops, laptops, networking equipment, printers, VOIP, servers and cloud services.
• Monitor backups, system health, updates and overall IT operations.
• Support cybersecurity best practices, access management and risk assessments.
• Create and update IT documentation, asset registers and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with the IT Manager on infrastructure upgrades, projects and continuous improvements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in IT support or systems administration.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a security‑focused mindset.
• Excellent communication, organisational and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant third‑level degree desirable but not essential.
