Junior Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

Don’t just start your engineering career – build one that moves faster. You’ll join the Electrical team in Dublin, working alongside experienced engineers on real building‑services projects from concept design through construction and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the design of electrical building services across multiple sectors.
• Produce electrical drawings, schematics and BIM models using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Carry out engineering calculations such as load assessments, cable sizing, voltage‑drop and lighting calculations.
• Support the design of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, security, data, renewable energy and EV‑charging systems.
• Coordinate with mechanical engineers, architects and multidisciplinary design teams.
• Attend project meetings and site visits, supporting inspections and resolving technical issues.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Services Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• Graduate experience in electrical design or building services (placements or internships welcomed).
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit MEP and Microsoft Office.
• Understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and building services design.
• Strong communication, organisation and problem‑solving skills.
• Proactive attitude with a genuine desire to learn and develop.
