About the role
The Laboratory Technician will support GMP laboratory operations by maintaining clean, safe, and compliant facilities, equipment, and consumables. This role ensures the laboratory is ready for daily work through effective housekeeping, inventory control, and strict adherence to health, safety and environmental standards.
Key responsibilities
- Wash, dry and store glassware according to GMP requirements.
- Clean, sterilize equipment, utensils and work surfaces, and perform routine cleaning of the Central Testing Unit.
- Maintain 5S standards in all laboratory areas, including fridges and freezers, ensuring proper labeling and organization.
- Monitor consumable inventory, restock supplies, and report shortages, expiries or damaged items.
- Store materials under defined conditions and comply with GMP storage guidelines.
- Follow health‑and‑safety procedures, use PPE correctly, and dispose of hazardous and non‑hazardous waste safely.
- Complete documentation in line with data‑integrity principles and support audit readiness.
- Communicate inventory, safety or status issues to senior staff and work collaboratively within the GMP team.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a laboratory or GMP environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Good understanding of laboratory safety, chemical handling and waste disposal.
- Organised, reliable and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills and a team‑oriented attitude.
