Laundry & Housekeeping Assistant – Nursing Home

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Laundry & Housekeeping Assistant to join the team at Glengara Park Nursing Home. The role involves supporting the care environment by ensuring laundry and cleaning duties are carried out to a high standard while maintaining the dignity and safety of residents.

Key responsibilities

• Perform laundry tasks for residents, including washing, drying, ironing and folding.
• Assist with general housekeeping duties across the home, such as cleaning common areas, bedrooms and bathrooms.
• Monitor resident comfort and safety while working in all areas of the facility.
• Follow hygiene, health and safety regulations at all times.
• Support the housekeeping team by helping with stock management and reporting any issues.

Required profile

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a diverse team.
• Strong organisational abilities to ensure supplies are stocked and tasks are completed efficiently.
• Leadership qualities to motivate colleagues and lead by example.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including occasional weekends.
